Rotary First Harvest – a program of Rotary District 5030 (USA) is a Seattle-based program that connects farmers, truckers, volunteers and food banks to get healthy produce into the hunger-relief system.
One of the integral parts of RFH’s community impact is a monthly “work party” where more than 100 Rotarians, friends and family members gather to help repack produce that RFH gathers. These events create instant camaraderie and fellowship among participants, and help to foster collaboration between clubs on a number of projects and opportunities.
You can easily replicate the Rotary Work Party experience with a hunger relief group in your community. To learn more, contact Rotary First Harvest directly.
